Nomination Form, Jerry Chang Peacemaker Award

The

Jerry Chang

Peacemaker Award

Rotarians are committed to promoting peace through understanding…one member at a time. In every club, there are exemplary Rotarians who take that core value to the highest level, and who are dedicated to humanitarian work, advocacy of human rights, and who humbly and compassionately work at home and in other countries to make ours a more peaceful world. Honolulu Club Rotarian Jerry Chang was a remarkable champion of peace, and in his name, a Peacemaker Award is presented each year to a District 5000 club member or group demonstrating leadership and passion in peacemaking.

Nominations for the award may be submitted by any Rotarian in good standing within District 5000.  This nomination form, including the one page overview of the nominee’s achievements, is due by September 8, 2014.

The Jerry Chang Peacemaker Award nominating committee, under the guidance of the Rotary Club of Honolulu Peacemaker Committee, will choose five finalists who best typify the highest standard of leadership and impact, with respect to peacemaking at home and/or around the world. The Peacemaker Committee will then select this year’s Jerry Chang Peacemaker Award recipient by majority vote.

This year’s award will be presented at the September 30, 2014 Rotary Club of Honolulu luncheon at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.  The winner is requested to attend that meeting to receive the award.
