A MESSAGE FROM
PRESIDENT BRIAN DUNKEL

Aloha kakou,

I heard that on Monday we had a great turnout for a successful Christmas present wrapping event at the Kukui Center.  Thank you to all who came out to contribute to that.  We also had a very interesting presentation by Stanford Carr describing the many hurdles that have been overcome and those yet to be surmounted before we will once again have an Aloha Stadium and the additional development that will surround it.  Once again, the energy and fellowship before, during and after the meeting was amazing, and I remain incredibly proud to be leading such an excellent organization with such an engaged membership.

I hope everyone is prepared for the holidays, as they are fast approaching.  Please take a moment to appreciate your friends and family, including your Rotary Club of Honolulu ‘ohana.  I want to personally and on behalf of the Club wish everyone a glorious season and all the happiness that life can bring as we approach the new year.  More great things to come!

Remember that next week we will have NO MEETING, so that everyone may enjoy the Christmas holiday season.  Note, however, that the following week on December 30, we WILL have a regular Tuesday meeting at The Pacific Club, but it will be a holiday fellowship celebration and opportunity to talk story about the state of the Club.  We will discuss how the first half of the Rotary Year has gone and what we can do in the new calendar year to make the rest of my term the best it can be for the Club, all of its members and the community that we serve.  I hope to see many of you there.
